Emmylou is fine....
Not only is Emmylou a great singer, she's an excellant songwriter...And that's quite evident on this CD... 2008-07-23
EmmyLou Harris in an unusual medicore way
A few numbers are wonderfully sung. For the most part, though, this is my least favorite of all her compliations. There simply is something lacking. Her voice is crisp and clear but the selections sound twangy and way to country hillbilly to be of note. 2008-07-23
She's come full circle
Emmylou Harris's album, All I Intended to Be is finally one where she is putting her own words to song. You can tell her feelings that were involved just by listening to the tracks. A good buy for any Emmylou fan. 2008-07-22

Easy Listening
I am writing this review after my second listening of the CD. This is the only EH disc that I own but I do enjoy country music.
- Songs: easy listening; layed back (mellow); folk / ballad style. Definitely a "listening" CD vs. background music. Nothing to hum about but good if you're looking for something different, especially from her (according to the reviews).
- Recording: instrumental tracks are excellent; on some songs the voice tracks sound "recorded" and artificial. I have a fairly high-end system with good quality headphones that tend to exagerate recording flaws.
- Packaging: cardboard sleeve for disc; my disc already has small scratches and some pitting but for $10 I can live with it.
