not compatible with a TOMTOM...
I bought this to use with my TOMTOM 730. It came up as one of the accessories for my unit. It doesn't work with the TomTom because their stand is to short. This forces the screen to be tilted upward and if it's on your dash this makes it useless with that angle. It works great for my Dad's Magellan, but it has a taller stand. Don't buy this for a TomTom 2008-11-11
Not for a Garmin Nuvi
Great product. This base does not move. I find that the stand mount is too close to the rim of this product. If the stand of the Garmin was a bit longer I think it would be great. Also noticed the sun reflects on my dash and on the GPS screen much more than it does when mounted on the windshield. 2008-11-10
Keeping my GPS mount on my dashboard
This is great for keeping my GPS on my dashboard. It does not move at all when I am making a turn or hitting my breaks. Very sturdy and a great purchase. 2008-11-10

GPS holder
We purchased this item after reading about cars being broke into by thiefs who noticed the mark on the windshield from the GPS holder which comes with the GPS units..This allows us to just set it securely on the dash and when getting out of the car place it in a secure spot without leaving signs on the windshield of using a GPS in the car. Also after pricing this Nav-Mat at stores, purchasing it at Amazon was a terrific money saver... 2008-11-07
