Great Alternative Mount
Great alternative mount, very easy to use and it stays in a stable positioned on the dash. Garmin 880 mounts on the arm that comes with it and the arm snaps into the Garmin Portable Friction Dashboard Mount. The portable mount is made of quality materials and appears to be durable. Using the portable mount allows the GPS to be quickly stored away without being disconnected. 2008-10-12

Excellent stand for my GPS.
Excellent product! Very easy to use as compared to a suction cup mount, and it firmly holds the GPS unit in one place on the dashboard without slipping. Its great! 2008-10-12

A must have!
Forget about the gizmos that come with your unit to attach it to your car....they don't: A) make the Novi portable B) Look good. They also scream to anyone lurking that you have a portable GPS, might invite a break-in!
I bought this for portability reasons. It works perfectly, stays right where you put it, yet it is easy to remove to put it all out of sight. I plan to buy my kids Nuvis for Christmas, this will be definitely included.

Works great!
I bought this to soft mount my c550 Garmin and works great! I have a truck so a pretty large dash and clearance under the windshield. Not sure if dash space would be an issue otherwise. 2008-10-10

Garmin should include this as standard accessory ..
I recently purchased a Garmin Nuvi 660 and looking at the reviews on Amazon decided ahead of time that I need to purchase this bean bag. I have been able to sucessfully mount the Garmin and it has held it's position. Very easy to remove the GPS and hide this when parked in public place. I think Garmin should make this as a standard accessory. Also I live in CA, where state laws do not allow mounting GPS on the windshield using suction cup. 2008-10-09
