Great sound quality but very fragile
I have had these headphones for two months and have both great and terrible things to say. The overall sound quality is fantastic, you really cannot do better with ear buds for under $100. Deep, rich, and full of bass.
However, the ear buds themselves have broken three times now. The right one broke came apart once, glued it back together (no actual effect on sound since it stayed wired together... just in two pieces), and then again with another glue session. The left bud just now broke for the first time. Again, this doesn't affect the sound quality at all, but it is extremely annoying and the glue makes them pretty unsightly.
And in the past two weeks, the wire itself has gone a bit haywire. I can only get sound if the plug is positioned perfectly in any device. These buds are on the verge of total collapse!
So I whole-heartedly recommend these to anyone, just don't make the mistake I did and throw the receipt out. Unless the ear buds are stored very carefully all of the time, they will break. Easily.

Great Product
I purchased the V-MODA Bass Freq Earbuds about a month ago and I cannot live without them. I was a little worried from the comment about too much bass but that is not the case it is just right. These are the best earbuds I have ever owned! I highly recommend this product. 2008-11-05

Terrible Product
The headset only lasted me one week before one of the ear pieces broke. Cheaply made and I don't recomend this product. 2008-11-03

Biggest bang for your buck
Before I had these earbuds I used the Shure brand earbuds. The shure brand is known for high-quality, but not always appealing price tag. So while I enjoyed the quality of the higher end ear bud, I did not enjoy spending the $200 it cost to purchase them. Since those earbuds broke, I had been shopping around for another decent pair for a much lower price since it was obvious to me that my on-the-go lifestyle would not treat my headphones well. I looked into these earbuds a bit and figured I could spare a mere $30. I struck gold. These are some of the best earbuds I have ever had for the price. The sound-isolating quality is not of the same calibur as say the Shure series, but for the price they can't be beat. If a person were to stand within one foot of your person, neither you or the individual would be able to hear one another. That's some good sound isolation.
In regards to the sound, the bass reproduction of these earbuds are actually slightly better than the shure series that I last used (of course those were second generation and I think they are up to the fifth). My only gripe with these earbuds is that if you enjoy music that is more artistic (classical or jazz) where instruments are emphasized over beat/vocals, these headphones may not be the best choice. The treble that these headphones put out is only mediocre. So rock, jazz, classical, and maybe a couple other genres may be better heard on a different headphone set, but I think only true audiophiles will notice a drop in quality and only if he or she had just recently been listening to some high-end headphones. This problem may even be remedied by a simple adjustment to the EQ that comes as a fairly standard option on most media devices.
Conclusion: BUY THESE EARBUDS! You won't be disappointed. Great price, great bass, great deal.

Best earbuds ive used
The sound quality you get from these is great for the price. The earbuds itself is made with good quality but the wires are not. The wires are a bit too thin which i dont like.feels like i gotta be care with it. I actually missed a phone call because i couldnt hear it ringing while these were in my ears and i was sitting right next to it.haha. Make sure not to turn up the volume too high or else you wont be able to hear anything around you. 2008-11-01
