Good one!
This is a great buy for the price. I bought it just before a trip to Canada and it was really helpful. I fed all the music into it, and the good part is that when it is time for the directions, the music is automatically paused, the direction is recited by the GPS, and music resumes. It's audio output port let me feed the music in the entire car's stereo system via cassette adapter. It's bluetooth connectivity lets one talk hands free, and the voice is audible to the other party, even if folks from back seat talk. I registered it on garmins website, and also got a free map update for 2009. This is my first GPS, I'm giving 4 stars. Nice one so far. 2008-09-22
Solid Unit
Blue tooth was a little bit of a struggle, but have been very happy with overall performance of the unit. Updating of the maps was a breeze! 2008-09-16
Everything and more at a great price
Although this was a discontinued model, it provides everything I needed in addition to features I would not have paid a premium for. Size is not a problem unless you really need to carry it around in your pocket. 2008-09-15
I really like it
This is the first GPS unit that I have purchased so I have nothing to compare it to, but I really like the ease of use and all of the things that the c550 can do. It gives very good direction most of the time. The only time it seems to get confused is when we pull slightly off our route to a restaurant or to get gas. We know how to get back on track so it is not a problem. I drive a truck for a living and have used it to find directions. You can even use it in "truck" mode for truck route directions. I would recommend this unit on my experience with it. 2008-09-14
