I love this product!
My Garmin has changed my life. I am much less intimidated about exploring new places now!! I recently had to take my boys to Boston to take one son back to school and the other on some college tours. Having the Garmin made what I expected to be a very stressful trip, into a complete pleasure. We were all amazed at how easy this GPS is to use, and how dependable it is. c550. A great little unit
This is just what I thought it would be. It has all the great, basic features I was looking for in a portable GPS. The best part is the blue tooth hands free phone. It has good connection and excellent sound quality for such a little unit. Connects to my phone, contact list and gives me great area information for whatever I'm looking for. We bought some for our work vehicles as well. For some, we added an external microphone that made it even better, but we didn't need that for most applications. If you are looking for something inexpensive and still have a quality unit, this is the one. 2008-09-29
great product
I searched and searched for the "right" GPS for me and found the Garmin C550. I absolutely love it. It gives great directions and I love the fact that it speaks the street names. I have only used it a few times going to places that I already know, but I am looking forward to using it on my almost cross country drive back to my parents' house. I downloaded some POI's so that I can find the nearest Wal-Mart and Dunkin' Doughnuts and oh yeah Starbucks. Only thing I'm not fond of is the battery life. It has died on me twice, but it does come with a plug so that you can charge it in the car/keep it powered while driving. 2008-09-25

Garmin Streetpilot c550 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator This my second Garmin c550. I like the unit because it does everything that I need and does it very well. It announces all street or other route names in PLENTY of time for you to be able to execute. This is an updated version and it has loads of current info. Instructions are simple and easy to follow, It also is bluetooth capable which is very important to me since I drive a vehicle with hand controls. The screen has great touch control and the speaker is sharp and clear. I have owned/own other Garmin products (Marine) and as usual they are USER FRIENDLY. 2008-09-23
