Records cable just fine for me.
I'm not sure why all these people are saying that they can't record anything off cable without a box. I have this model, I don't have a cable box, and I record shows all the time. Maybe there's some trick to it? 2008-11-18

Mistake
It was a mistake to buy this unit.I would sent it back if I had the packing that got thrown out. I bought this as a present for a friend and she could not use it because it has no tuner in it. I dont even know why they make one like this.I basically thew my money away and will probably throw away the brand new unit the next time I get pissed off. 2008-10-27
