Great picture/video. Easy set up. Microphone could be better, a little "clippy". Using cam with free Sightspeed software and separate USB mic/stand. Works great with this configuration.

No configuration required; Skype found the camera and the microphone worked after I told Skype about it.

I purchased this camera off reviews from this and other sites. I wanted to replace my aging Logitech camera from about 4 years ago. Based on what others said I definitely made the right decision. The clarity of the image is fantastic for such a small lens. One thing to make the image better is to turn off the "Readylight" function and use a desk lamp to suppliment if you have little light. Also for best quality make sure you have at least a dual core processor. Using this over Skype with another person that has the same camera makes it much more enjoyable. I always get people saying on the other end "what camera are you using?" If you want a good webcam and don't mind forking over a little more money this is the camera to get!!

Tried several webcams. This one is the best yet. Easy to set up and really fun software bundled with it.

I installed the software on two of my three computers using the included disk. Both times the installation went without issues. Then once installed the software automatically went onto Logitech's website and updated the software. This installation process was the same on my Vista and XP computers.

On the third computer I installed the software right off Logitech's website and not the included disk. That elimitated the need for the computer to upload the newer version. In both cases, the results were the same, EASY!

As for the camera? The controls are all software driven and very easy to use, even while on a skype call.

The special effects that come bundled in the software are really easy to use and very fun!

I also tried using this webcame as a camcorder for short videos. The results were spectacular! to say the least.

The product is a treasure trove of fun! Tons more than I expected. I thought I was just buying a high priced webcam.

I just ordered another 9000 for my second computer and the Pro model for my laptop.

Note. the 9000 is perfectly fine for notebook or desktop computers.

Product works exceeingly well with Skype. Doesn't have the "jumpiness" of some webcams. Good value for the price.
