Incredible Freedom for the Handicapped
I bought a Kindle for my mom who has ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and is no longer able to hold a book. I cannot say enough about the joy and independence this has brought back to her! She has missed reading so much, and the ability to 'disappear' into a book and actually turn the page herself has been beyond liberating. Bravo Kindle! 2008-07-23

I love my Kindle. I'm a teacher and had great plans for closet cleaning this summer. Nope, not gonna happen. I'm hooked. Yes, it has a few minor things that are a little hinky, but I'm used to them now. I'm a little disappointed that the new Janet Evanovich book isn't available. 2008-07-23
My Healthy Addiction
I just love my kindle. I'm constantly reading. In fact, my husband is concerned that I may be reading too much!! I definitely am hooked. It's so easy to read - you never even have to turn a page. Also, purchasing reading materials is like instant gratification - that's how quick they download. I brought it on vacation with me out of the country and read 4 books while I was gone. It's well worth the money. Okay, I have to go now and read some more :) 2008-07-23
What an amazing product
This is a great product, just bought one for my dad and he absolutely loves it. I can't wait for v2 to come out so I can buy one for myself :-), assuming the minor annoyances on the ergonomics are addressed. We will see! 2008-07-23
Reading Books Again
I've always enjoy reading books but in the last 4 or 5 years I hardly read a book anymore. My eyes would get too tired. After seeing all the reviews on the Kindle I finally bought one a month ago. Thanks to the Kindle I'm reading again. I put it on the largest font and that did the trick. I've read 6 books so far. I've had no trouble holding it without the cover. Its nice to be able to download a book without hooking it to my computer. So take a chance if you have the coin and buy one. It was worth it. 2008-07-23
