Makes memories easy
I purchased this product to scan in old slides since the projector has been long absent. The ease of scanning in the slides and the ability to adjust the picture image is great. I tried the other products which were made just for slides and quickly returned since the quality and ease of operation was no where near as to this Cannon 4400F scanner. You know what the price was better on this product too!! My neighbor will be using it next since they also have a couple of hundred slides to make digital. Now the whole family can enjoy the slides and burning to a CD is now easily done. Hope this helps in your decision as to purchase this product or not. 2009-01-08
Canon 4400F
This was purchased to archive (and edit) several hundred 35mm slides. Some/most of them taken close to 40 years ago.
It works quite well. Bundled software may not be terribly feature-rich, but has fairly broad capabilities. Running on a Vista Home Premium system it's quick and effective.

Great product
I got this for my mom for Christmas and she didn't have any problems using it. She's already scanned lots of pics and is very pleased with it. I think the quality is great considering most of the slides she's scanned are from the 70s. I would recommend this product. 2009-01-07

Good Value
After scouring the net looking for a scanner to convert my slides to digital pics I bought the Canon 4400.
The price was very good and the results are better than expected. Although some of the components (slide tray) is light weight the end product and the accompaning software is easy to use.
I have done over 500 slides (and more too do) and am totally satisfied!!!
