A great way to understanding what you're really eating
Love this because it really makes you think about what you're putting in your mouth where ever you are. It also helped my DH understand what he's eating and that there are other choices.

Awesome Book!
This book is great! Very informative! I was shocked at some of the things I read.

Some strong points -- but doesn't consider taste
The book has a number of strong points, and it can be valuable in deciding which of two items to select -- provided you think they taste about the same or that taste doesn't matter in the decision.

The problem is that the "eat this" choices often aren't as good as the "not that" choices. I'll take on example. For beer, the author suggests various light lagers instead of Sierra Nevada Pale ale. Now, I guess if you are drinking just because you want "beer" but don't care about how it tastes, that might be fine. But if you really base your decision based on flavor -- if, for example, you prefer a hoppy, full-flavor ale, not a rather bland lager -- then this book is not a good guide. If you want to save calories in this case, the real solution is to have two Sierra Nevadas rather than three lite beers.

Great food handbook.
I love this book. It is so necessary for traveling and eating out. I found it great for planning to eat at home also. We all need to be food conscious to protect our health. I love it! It's a must buy. Simple and easy to read. Buy it and protect your health. T.Platt

So Helpful!
This book opens your eyes to options. The burger that you've always shied away from turns out to be HEALTHIER than the salad you've been eating everyday for lunch. It's a huge help when you want to eat healthy and all you have for lunch options is fast food. It's not going to help you drop a ton of wait, but it will help you make better decisions when eating out.
