Sansa White MP3
My sansa was actually white. I use it for entertainment while running. I have gotten used to the ear phones that came with the player, they were hurting my ears at first. Listening to music has improved my time. It's wise when music records to the player to insert the name of the song before adding to library, otherwise you get unknown song. Overall a good inexpensive investment. :o) 2008-08-27

Great mp3 player; great price!
I was looking for something inexpensive, yet reliable. The Sandisk Sansa m250 2 GB MP3 playcer serves my needs well! 2008-08-24

It's A No-Brainer. For $29.99, BUY IT!
I bought my first Sandisk m200 series mp3 player three summers ago for $179. It was the m260 4 gig player, which I packed with just about every classic rock and pop song from 1940 to now, and attached to my bicycle handlebars. Today, I'm still using the same player and it works like a charm.
Since then, I purchased two additional m200 series Sandisk players - a 1gb and a 2gb. I use them as a music source for our town street fair and my neighborhood's block party, among many other things. I guess I'm hooked on this neat little player.
Two major advantages, for me, over the iPod are:
1. They run on basic AAA batteries for hours and hours (I just ran one at a 12-hour party last week and still had about a quarter of a charge at the end)
2. Copying files into these units is as simple as dragging and dropping onto a USB stick or external hard drive.
Yeah, iPods are slick and sexy, but I wouldn't trade any of my m200 series players for ANY of the available iPod models. And cheez....what's this with the $29.99 price? Even if this unit is used or refurbished, I would scoop it up right away!

Sansa 2 Gb - Mp3 Player
I bought this product because I wanted a player with more memory space because my 1Gb was filled. I also purchased this type of player because I was not interested in viewing videos or photos (like an I-pod). The other appealing thing is that this unit is powered by an easily attainable AAA battery. I did not want a player powered by the lithium built-in battery because I don't always have a means of re-charging this type of battery. I did not want the unit to be drained while on a camping trip or similar outing, b/c I would not have a computer available to plug a USB into. I realize this type of MP3 player is not produced in quantities due to the migration to I-Pods but I hope they continue to make these and even expand with more memory. AAA is the way.
The player has a good quality sound, but the menu operation takes a bit getting used to. It is a good player for the price though.

Great for the city bus
If you're a person who likes to watch video clips on tiny screens or sniff at people unhip enough to buy anything without Steve Jobs's fingerprints on it, then this little player might not be for you.
If you, like me, want a reliable and battery-friendly mp3 player for those afternoons when you're too tired to read on the bus or to plug into an FM car adapter when you don't want to listen to what the radio has to cough up, then this unit does just fine. I've had mine over a month now, and I've used it to listen to all sorts of podcasts. The 2GB flash storage is enough to last a good week of commuting, the display is helpful enough, the controls are simple, and perhaps best of all, the unit is compatible with Amarok for Linux. For less than thirty bucks, I'm really quite pleased.
